This paper studies amino acid separation using a H2O-CH2Cl2-H2O liquid membrane system. A CH2Cl2 layer is modified and 1-butylalcohol and toluene act as carriers. The solubility of amino acids to CH2Cl2. and Polyaniline is also introduced to examine the ability of 1-butlacohol and toluene as carriers. From an amino acid mixture containing GLy, LEu, ILe, VAl, CYs, PHe, HIs, ALa, GLn we successfully separated ALa, LEu, ILe, VAl. This result indicates that this optimized analytical condition obtained could be successfully applied to the qualitative analysis of the amino acids in human blood, urine, and other tissue samples using this liquid membrane system.
